33-1 Recap: Mandy and Kevin are going to go and see Mandy's father. KEVIN: Mr. Shay please. Kevin was at the reception desk talking to the nurse. Mandy was sitting in the waiting room staring into space, thinking. NURSE: sorry hun. He needs his rest. KEVIN: no, you don't understand....his daughter needs to see him. NURSE: I'm sorry sir, but he needs his rest *raising her voice slightly* Kevin gave a sigh and went to sit with Mandy. He ran his fingers through his hair and blew out a puff of air. MANDY: lets go. Mandy's focus was straight ahead and seemed like she was talking to no one. Kevin got up from his seat and started walking with Mandy. They soon got to the parking garage and got into his car. Kevin waited. KEVIN: mands, I'm sorry. MANDY: I'll see him in the morning. The hospital isn't that far. *not looking at Kevin* Kevin sighed and revved up the engine. He then slowly backed out and began to drive. (after about 10 min.) MANDY: kev, where are we? KEVIN: the park. We need to talk. Mandy gave off a deep sigh and finally looked at Kevin in the eyes. She found trust and care. MANDY: fine.. They got out of the car and walked to a bench. The only light was from the street lamps that were scattered around the park. KEVIN: so what's up? Mandy gave no answer. KEVIN: we're not leaving until you tell me. Mandy sighed and tears were brimming her eyelids. MANDY: remember my party? KEVIN: yea. The one we couldn't go to. MANDY: well, I don't think it was mine. No birthday cake or happy birthday wishes. Mandy paused to take a slow gasp of air. She was near a break down. MANDY: and Daniel....-pause- he..... Mandy shut her eyes tight. This caused the tears she's been holding to stream down like a waterfall. Kevin wrapped Mandy into a hug rubbing her arms. Kevin felt like the big brother of a teenage girl. He secretly always kind of wanted a sister {hahaha no idk}. Through her tears and smuggling her face into Kevin's chest, she managed to say: MANDY: he raped me. Kevin clenched his jaw and shut his eyes close. He was still hugging Mandy. They sat there for 15 minutes of crying until Mandy drifted off to sleep. Kevin tried to pick her up but she woke up. She walked with him to the car and they went back to Mandy's. When they got there, everyone was soundly sleeping. Mandy went up to the closet and grabbed extra pillows and blankets. Kevin made up his "bed" and then called home explaining where they were. He smiled most of the time because he was beating up Daniel {don't we all?}. Almost everyone had a peaceful sleep except for Mandy and nick. Kevin had a so so sleep. Okayyyyyyy not one of my best.
